Bald Eagle State Park Wedding | Emma & Alex
Emma and Alex’s Bald Eagle State Park wedding brought us back to one of Central Pennsylvania’s most scenic ceremony settings at The Nature Inn. We are Josh and Taylor, a husband and wife photography and videography team based in Clearfield, and documenting weddings in locations that highlight the natural beauty of our region is something we never take for granted.
Working throughout Central Pennsylvania has given us the opportunity to capture celebrations in mountain settings, state parks, and locally loved venues that reflect the character of this area. The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park offers a setting that feels expansive yet intimate, with sweeping views that elevate every part of the day.
From getting ready onsite to ending the night by the fire pit under the stars, Emma and Alex’s wedding unfolded in a way that felt intentional, relaxed, and deeply personal.
Getting Ready at The Nature Inn
One of the advantages of hosting a Bald Eagle State Park wedding at The Nature Inn is the convenience of having everything in one location. Emma and Alex, along with most of their guests, stayed onsite, creating a calm and seamless start to the day.
Both the bride and groom got ready at The Nature Inn. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful as final details came together. Because everything was centrally located, there was no rushing between venues, which allowed for a steady and natural pace to the morning.
Emma and Alex chose not to do a first look. Instead, they honored tradition and waited to see each other for the first time at the ceremony.
Outdoor Ceremony Overlooking the Mountains
The ceremony took place behind The Nature Inn, overlooking Bald Eagle State Park and its sweeping mountain views. The setting provided a panoramic backdrop that felt expansive yet intimate at the same time.
The weather could not have been more perfect. A partly cloudy sky shifted into warm sunshine during the ceremony, creating soft, even light and a comfortable atmosphere for guests.
When Emma walked down the aisle and Alex saw her for the first time, the emotion was immediate and genuine. Choosing a traditional aisle reveal made that moment even more powerful.
They exchanged vows surrounded by forest, mountains, and the people who mean the most to them. A Bald Eagle State Park wedding offers a ceremony setting that feels naturally grand without needing elaborate additions.
Family Photos and Cocktail Hour
Immediately following the ceremony, we transitioned into family portraits while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. The layout of The Nature Inn makes this process efficient and smooth, allowing couples to maximize time with guests while still capturing formal groupings.
After family portraits were complete, we brought Emma and Alex around the property for their couple portraits. The surrounding landscape offered a variety of scenic backdrops, from wooded areas to open mountain views. The natural setting added depth and dimension to their gallery without ever feeling staged.
Reception at The Nature Inn
The reception took place indoors at The Nature Inn, where the decor beautifully complemented the surrounding landscape. Forest green and white details echoed the natural scenery outside, creating a cohesive and elegant aesthetic.
Their cake was a simple heart-shaped design that added a charming and personal touch to the evening. After dinner and toasts, the dance floor quickly filled as friends and family celebrated late into the night.
The indoor reception space provided warmth and intimacy while still reflecting the organic beauty of their Bald Eagle State Park wedding setting.
A Quiet Moment by the Firepit
One of the most meaningful parts of the evening happened when Emma and Alex stepped away from the reception to spend a few quiet moments together at the fire pit behind The Nature Inn.
They made s’mores, shared conversation, and took time to reflect on the day. These intentional pauses often become some of the most memorable moments for couples. Stepping away from the celebration, even briefly, allows space to truly take everything in.
As the night continued, they returned to the dance floor to celebrate with their guests, ending their wedding day exactly as it began: surrounded by warmth, joy, and the beauty of Bald Eagle State Park.
