Disney Dream Atrium Wedding | Jaclyn & David

Jaclyn and David’s Disney Dream atrium wedding was a celebration filled with elegance, intention, and unforgettable moments at sea. From getting ready in their balcony staterooms to fireworks lighting up the night sky, every part of their wedding week was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed.

As photographers and videographers who frequently document weddings aboard Disney Cruise Line ships, we truly appreciate how special atrium ceremonies are on the Disney Dream. The space, architecture, and exclusivity create an experience unlike any other.

Getting Ready on the Disney Dream

The wedding day began with hair and makeup at Senses Spa & Salon aboard the Disney Dream. The girls enjoyed a relaxed morning before getting dressed in their balcony staterooms. The extended balconies we helped select for the couple and their immediate family provided extra space for portraits and video coverage, which made a significant difference in both comfort and visual storytelling.

Jaclyn shared a heartfelt first look with her dad before the ceremony. These quiet moments before walking down the aisle are always some of our favorites to document.

The day before the wedding, we also captured their flower girl getting ready at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. On the wedding day, her hair was refreshed so she was perfectly wedding ready, adding an extra touch of magic to the celebration.

Disney Dream Atrium Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the grand atrium on Deck 3. One of the reasons we love a Disney Dream atrium wedding is the exclusivity of the space. During the ceremony, the entire Level 3 atrium is reserved for the wedding, allowing us to move freely and capture multiple angles without obstruction.

Jaclyn and David’s officiant acknowledged not only their invited guests seated on Level 3, but also the cruise guests watching from Decks 4 and 5 above. It created a unique and joyful atmosphere that can only happen on a cruise ship.

The couple exchanged personal vows, bringing deep emotion to the ceremony. After they were pronounced husband and wife, they exited to cheers and gathered everyone for a grand group photo on the staircase, which is always a signature moment of a Disney Cruise Line atrium wedding.

Celebration at Evolution

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at Evolution. Because of their large guest count of over 50 guests, Jaclyn and David chose to extend their reception to two full hours. Their celebration included an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, traditional cake cutting, and a champagne toast.

They shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends before the dance floor opened and the celebration continued in full swing. The energy in the room reflected how excited everyone was to be part of their wedding at sea.

Family and Couple Portraits Around the Ship

After the reception concluded, we brought the family to Deck 4 for formal portraits overlooking the ocean. The open sea provides a timeless backdrop that feels expansive and romantic.

From there, we spent the next hour taking Jaclyn and David around the ship for portraits. We photographed them in locations that were meaningful to them as well as some of our favorite spots from years of experience sailing aboard the Disney fleet. The variety of architectural details and open deck spaces on the Disney Dream always allows for a diverse and elegant gallery.

Fireworks and Nighttime Portraits

Later that evening, the couple chose to include a fireworks session. We arrived early to capture nighttime portraits in front of the iconic Mickey funnels before moving to a quieter area of the deck.

Watching the fireworks together while we documented the moment created some of the most magical images of the entire day. A fireworks session is always an incredible way to elevate a Disney Dream atrium wedding experience.

A Private Dinner at Palo

On the final night of the cruise, Jaclyn and David chose to dine privately at Palo. We captured a few final portraits of them being seated for dinner, which made for a beautiful and intimate ending to their wedding story aboard the Disney Dream.

Why We Love Disney Dream Atrium Weddings

An atrium wedding on the Disney Dream offers grandeur, exclusivity, and incredible photographic flexibility. Having the entire atrium reserved allows us to capture creative angles and emotional reactions in a way that few other ceremony spaces can provide.

Beyond photography and film, we also serve as travel agents and are Platinum Castaway Club members. Our extensive knowledge of Disney Cruise Line allows us to assist couples not only with their wedding but with booking staterooms for themselves and their guests. For Jaclyn and David, we coordinated over 50 guests, arranged dining together, booked activities, and selected extended balcony staterooms that provided ideal space for getting ready and documentation.

Being able to guide couples through both the wedding planning process and the cruise logistics ensures a seamless experience from the first booking to the final night at sea.

If you are planning your own Disney Dream atrium wedding, we would be honored to help you document every moment and assist in creating a smooth and unforgettable cruise wedding experience.
