Sea Breeze Point Wedding at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort | Maddie + Toren

Wedding ceremony at Sea Breeze Point gazebo at Disney's Boardwalk Resort in December.

Toren stood at the end of the aisle at Sea Breeze Point and watched Maddie walk toward him on her father's arm. And completely fell apart in the best possible way.

That moment, unscripted, unguarded, and completely real, is exactly what a Disney wedding at Disney's Boardwalk Resort looks like when everything comes together the way it should. And for Maddie and Toren's December celebration it was just the beginning. Letters exchanged before the ceremony, a classic car ride down the Boardwalk, a ballroom room reveal, and Mickey and Minnie showing up to help cut the cake and then doing meet and greets with every single guest in the hallway. This day had everything.

We are Josh and Taylor, a husband and wife photography and videography team specializing in Disney weddings, and days like this one remind us why we never get tired of showing up for these celebrations. December at Disney's Boardwalk Resort is already something special. Maddie and Toren made it unforgettable.

Getting ready in Boardwalk Villas for Sea Breeze Point Disney wedding in December.

Getting Ready at Disney's Boardwalk Villas

The morning began with both Maddie and Toren getting ready in the villas at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and December light in Orlando has a softness and warmth to it that made the getting ready coverage feel completely effortless from the very first moments of the day.

We moved between both spaces capturing individual bride and groom portraits alongside the getting ready moments, giving the gallery a variety from the very start of the day that carries through beautifully into everything that follows.

Letters Before the Ceremony

Before the ceremony Maddie and Toren exchanged heartfelt letters, private words written for each other that captured everything they were feeling on the morning of their Disney wedding. It was an intimate and deeply personal moment that set the emotional tone for everything that followed and gave their wedding film a layer of genuine storytelling that words written on paper always do.

By the time they arrived at Sea Breeze Point they had already said everything that needed to be said privately. What happened at the gazebo was for everyone else to witness.

Wedding Party Portraits at Disney's Boardwalk Resort

With getting ready wrapped we moved into individual portraits and wedding party photos around the Boardwalk Resort and the property in December is genuinely stunning. The holiday atmosphere, the waterfront setting, and the classic seaside architecture of the Boardwalk gave us a variety of portrait backdrops that kept the gallery feeling fresh and visually interesting from section to section.

The Boardwalk Resort is one of those properties that gives photographers so much to work with — architecture, waterfront views, garden spaces, and the iconic Boardwalk itself all within easy walking distance of each other. We made the most of every minute we had before the ceremony.

The Ceremony at Sea Breeze Point

Sea Breeze Point is one of our favorite ceremony venues at Walt Disney World and Maddie and Toren's December ceremony there was exactly why.

The grand open air gazebo sits along the Boardwalk with magnificent views of Crescent Lake stretching out behind the couple as they exchange their vows. The gentle waterfront breeze, the classic white architecture, and the storybook surroundings create an atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate at the same time, a combination that is genuinely hard to find anywhere else at Walt Disney World.

Toren was emotional from the moment Maddie appeared at the end of the aisle on her father's arm. By the time she reached him he was completely undone in the best possible way, the kind of genuine unguarded reaction that you cannot prompt or recreate and that we will never get tired of being there to capture. Those are the frames that couples come back to most and we made sure we had every angle covered.

Family Portraits and a Bubble Send Off

After the ceremony we moved through full family portraits and bridal party photos before heading into couple portraits around the property. December afternoon light at the Boardwalk is warm and golden in a way that feels almost like it was designed specifically for wedding photography, the kind of light that makes every frame look like it belongs in a magazine without any additional effort.

The day closed with a bubble send off as Maddie and Toren made their way to a classic car waiting to take them down Disney's Boardwalk to their reception. Guests lined both sides, bubbles filled the air, and the couple rode off down one of the most iconic stretches of Walt Disney World property with the Crescent Lake waterfront glowing behind them. It was a genuinely perfect transition from the ceremony into the celebration.

A Boardwalk Ballroom Reception

The Boardwalk Ballrooms at Disney's Boardwalk Resort delivered everything a December Disney wedding reception should — warmth, elegance, and an energy that built from the very first moment guests walked in.

While guests enjoyed cocktail hour Maddie and Toren prepared for a room reveal, one of our favorite reception details to photograph and film. The moment guests see the fully decorated ballroom for the first time is always full of genuine reactions and December decor at the Boardwalk makes that reveal something extra special.

The grand entrance set the tone for an evening full of joy. Heartfelt toasts, a beautiful first dance, and then Mickey and Minnie arrived.

We have photographed a lot of Disney wedding receptions. But watching Mickey and Minnie join Maddie and Toren on the dance floor and then help them cut their cake is a moment that made every single person in that ballroom completely light up. The energy in the room shifted into something that can only be described as pure Disney magic, and we were exactly where we needed to be to capture every second of it.

After the cake cutting Mickey and Minnie moved into the hallway just outside the ballroom for meet and greets with every guest. The couple joined them and what followed was a genuine celebration of joy, guests of all ages waiting for their moment with Mickey and Minnie while the dance floor stayed alive inside. It is the kind of detail that only a Disney wedding can offer and Maddie and Toren leaned into it completely.

The rest of the night was exactly what a great reception should be — dancing, laughter, and a room full of people who clearly did not want the evening to end.

Why We Love Sea Breeze Point

Sea Breeze Point at Disney's Boardwalk Resort is one of the most romantic and visually stunning ceremony venues at Walt Disney World and every time we photograph there we are reminded of exactly why couples keep choosing it.

The grand gazebo, the Crescent Lake backdrop, the gentle waterfront atmosphere, and the classic Boardwalk architecture surrounding the space, Sea Breeze Point does not need a single thing added to feel extraordinary. It is already extraordinary. Any decor a couple brings just enhances something that is already genuinely beautiful.

From a photography and videography standpoint we love working at Sea Breeze Point because of how open and versatile the space is. The waterfront gives us a natural backdrop that changes with the light throughout the day. The gazebo provides architectural framing. And the surrounding Boardwalk property gives us incredible variety for portraits before and after the ceremony.

December is a particularly special time to get married here. The holiday atmosphere across the Boardwalk Resort adds a layer of magic to the already extraordinary setting and the soft winter light in Orlando creates a warmth and quality in the images that is hard to replicate at any other time of year.

If a Mickey and Minnie cake cutting sounds like your kind of wedding day, you are probably our kind of couple. Take a look at our Disney wedding portfolio to see more of what a Sea Breeze Point celebration looks like through our lens!
